Booking Your Seocho Clinic Visit From Abroad

TL;DR: We recommend messaging us on LINE, WeChat, or KakaoTalk two to three days before your visit, no Korean phone number required, since you can reach us with the same account you already use at home. Same-day inquiries are also welcome; we will tell you what times are open. Japanese, Chinese, and English interpreters are on-site at our Seocho location.

I am Dr. Kim Kyung-soo, lead physician at UH CELL Clinic’s Seocho location. The two questions I hear most often from patients writing to us from outside Korea are whether they can book without a Korean number, and how far in advance they should reach out. The honest answer is that the phone question rarely decides anything. What actually shapes your visit is what you send us before you arrive: photos, a rough timeline, and which language you would like to use.

Three Channels, One Requirement: Bring Your Own Account

We take booking inquiries through KakaoTalk, LINE, and WeChat. All three route to the same scheduling process on our end, so pick whichever app you already have open.

According to LINE’s own Help Center, a LINE account can be created or transferred using an email address, an Apple ID, or a Google account, and phone-based registration is only offered in a short list of markets that includes Japan and Taiwan. In practice this means the LINE account you already carry, wherever you set it up, is the one you message us with. WeChat works the same way for our purposes: you write to us from the account tied to your everyday contacts, not from a new Korean-issued number. Neither app expects you to set anything up specifically for this trip.

Why We Ask for Two to Three Days

A short lead time is not a formality on our side. Three things happen between your message and your appointment.

First, we look at what you send about your concern and your treatment history so we can narrow which layer of aging or which device category is actually worth discussing. A lifting consultation for early dermal laxity is not the same conversation as one for structural sagging, and knowing which one applies before you arrive saves time in the room.

Second, procedures do not take the same amount of time. A higher shot-count lifting session occupies the treatment room differently than a localized spot treatment, so we need to know roughly what you are asking about before we can offer you a slot that actually fits.

Third, interpretation has to be staffed. Japanese, Chinese, and English interpreters are on-site at Seocho, but knowing in advance which language you will use lets us make sure the right person is in the room when you are.

None of this means a two- or three-day window is a strict cutoff. If you are already in Seoul, message us the same channel you would otherwise use, and we will tell you what is open that day.

Plan Backward From Your Flight Home

Patients traveling from abroad tend to do better working backward from their departure date rather than forward from arrival. A treatment scheduled for your last day in Korea means traveling home with residual redness or swelling. One scheduled soon after you land leaves days to observe how your skin responds before you fly.

A rough shape that has worked for past visitors:

• Arrival day: travel and rest. A consultation alone, if you want one, fits here.
• The day after arrival: consultation and treatment are often combined into a single visit.
• The day before departure: a buffer for a follow-up check or any last questions.

How much recovery time to build in depends on the treatment, the area, and how your own skin responds, and that is genuinely something we work out with you during consultation rather than something we can state in general terms here.

What to Send Us Before You Arrive

Sending the following ahead of time shortens the in-person consultation considerably. It is separate from any consent paperwork you complete on-site; this is just information that helps us plan.

• Photos of the area you are concerned about: front and side angles, both relaxed and smiling
• Any treatments in the past year: product or device name, area, timing, and how your skin reacted
• Current medications and known allergies
• Your travel dates, including your return flight
• Your preferred consultation language
• The one change you most want to see from this visit

Photos taken in natural light without filters or editing are more useful to us than polished ones. A filter that smooths skin tone also erases the texture information we are trying to read.

What to Bring on the Day

Bring your passport. Since May 20, 2024, South Korea has required identity verification at medical institutions before non-covered treatment, and under the National Health Insurance Act Enforcement Rule, a passport is accepted for this purpose. Aesthetic procedures are not covered by national health insurance, but the identity check still applies the same way it would for any other patient.

It also helps to have a photo of your current medication list and any prior treatment records on your phone. Product names used abroad sometimes differ from how the same treatment is labeled here, so showing us the original packaging or label, rather than translating it yourself, reduces the chance of a mismatch.

Your Booking Chat Is Not the Same as Your In-Room Interpreter

The person answering your LINE or WeChat message is confirming times and costs. The interpreter in the consultation room is doing something different: carrying the specifics of your skin, the scope of the procedure, and what recovery might look like from me to you and back. If that second conversation is imprecise, you and I can end up with different ideas of what counts as a normal healing response versus something worth a follow-up message.

Japanese, Chinese, and English interpreters are on staff at our Seocho location, and I am the only physician listed on the Seocho team, so the same doctor who consults with you is the one who treats you. I studied at Seoul National University College of Medicine and hold medical licenses in both Korea and Japan. For patients coming from Japan, that second license is something you can verify through your own country’s licensing system rather than taking our word for it.

Costs Are Published Before You Book

Treatment prices are listed by item on our website’s fee page. As of August 29, 2026, Ulthera is priced at 1,090,000 KRW for 300 shots and 2,090,000 KRW for 600 shots. Thermage is 1,390,000 KRW for 300 shots and 1,990,000 KRW for 600 shots. Sofwave is 1,090,000 KRW for 120 shots and 1,790,000 KRW for 200 shots. Prices are subject to change, so confirm current figures with us through your booking channel before your visit.

Shot count is a total, but it is also a question of distribution. The same 300 shots concentrated along the jawline and under the chin deliver a different energy density than the same number spread across the cheeks, mouth area, and lower face. When you message us, telling us which area concerns you most is more useful than arriving with a shot number already decided.

We open devices, needles, and injectable products in front of the patient before use.

Where You Stay Affects Your Recovery Window

Our Seocho location is on the first floor of UH FLAT The Seocho Annex. Guests who enter a coupon code in the STATION by UHC app can access UH SUITE, UH CONTINENTAL, UH FLAT SIGNATURE, and UH FLAT properties at an affiliate rate. A shorter distance between the treatment room and where you are staying makes it easier to limit sun exposure and outdoor time on the day of your procedure. If you have not booked accommodation yet, mention it when you message us.

FAQ

Do I need a Korean phone number to book?

No. LINE and WeChat do not require a Korean number for the account you already use, and their own help documentation confirms this: LINE registration through an email address, Apple ID, or Google account works outside the small set of countries where phone registration applies. If you have a Korean number and prefer KakaoTalk, that works too.

Can I book on the same day I land in Seoul?

Yes. Message us through any of the three channels and we will tell you what is open that day. Because treatment length varies, your preferred time may already be taken, so a two- to three-day lead time gives you more options if your schedule is flexible.

How do I change or cancel a booking?

Send a message in the same chat thread you used to book. We will offer available alternative times from there.

Do I need to arrange my own interpreter?

No. Japanese, Chinese, and English interpreters are on-site at Seocho. Telling us your preferred language when you first message us helps us have the right person ready.

Are you open on weekends?

Yes, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00, with intake closing at 16:30. We do not close for a midday break.
