How to Improve Vertical Pores – Potenza & Juvelook

Introduction

As summer comes to an end, many patients visit our clinic concerned about enlarged pores in areas such as the T-zone, nose, and under the lips.

In particular, many patients complain that makeup tends to settle into their vertically elongated pores.

Why do pores become enlarged?

There are two main reasons.

First, there is an increase in sebum production. When temperatures are high, the sun is intense, or humidity is high, the sebaceous glands become more active.

This leads to increased sebum production, and the excess sebum is expelled through the pores, making the pore openings appear enlarged during this process.

Pores around the nose, in particular, may become more noticeable in the form of whiteheads or blackheads.

That’s why many people say their pores seem to get larger during the summer.

The second reason is a loss of elasticity.

Strong sunlight and heat break down collagen and elastin—a process also known as photoaging.
