INTRODUCTION
Hello. I am Dr. Kim Yeon-jin, Chief Director of UH CELL Gangnam.
As summer comes to an end, many patients visit our clinic concerned about enlarged pores in areas such as the T-zone, nose, and below the lips.
In particular, many patients complain that their makeup tends to settle into vertically elongated pores.
For these individuals, I highly recommend a combination treatment of the Potenza Pumping Tip and Juvelook.
Why do pores become enlarged?
There are two main reasons.

First, there is an increase in sebum production. When temperatures are high, the sun is intense, or humidity peaks, the sebaceous glands become more active.
This leads to increased sebum production, and as the excess sebum is expelled, the pore openings appear enlarged.
Pores around the nose, in particular, often become more noticeable in the form of whiteheads or blackheads.
That’s why many people feel their pores get significantly larger during the summer.

The second reason is a loss of elasticity.
This loss of elasticity is primarily due to a decrease in collagen and elastin.
Strong sunlight and heat break down these essential proteins—a process known as photoaging.
When skin elasticity decreases, the skin around the pores sags, causing them to appear elongated vertically.
In addition, smoking, alcohol consumption, and lack of sleep can also worsen skin health and exacerbate the appearance of enlarged pores.
Why are Potenza pumping tips effective for pores?
This treatment is highly effective because it addresses both causes of enlarged pores simultaneously.
Even when used on its own, the Potenza device’s Pumping Tip improves skin elasticity.
As the micro-needles penetrate and exit the skin layers while delivering radiofrequency (RF) energy, new collagen is formed during the skin’s natural regeneration process.
As this new collagen forms, the skin becomes denser and tighter, making pores appear smaller.
It is also highly effective against excessive sebum production.
The Pumping Tip delivers RF energy directly into the dermis via micro-needles, causing localized coagulation of the tissue.
This process suppresses the overactivity of the sebaceous glands, leading to a noticeable decrease in sebum secretion.
Why do pores shrink after a JuveLook treatment?

The PDLLA component in Juvelook Skin breaks down in the dermis, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.
As new collagen forms, the skin structure becomes firmer, restoring elasticity around the pores and naturally reducing their appearance.
Juvelook features fine, uniform particles that disperse evenly. Instead of acting only on the immediate injection site, it regenerates the surrounding tissue structure,
thereby improving fine scars and fine lines. Additionally, the hyaluronic acid (HA) in Juvelook instantly provides
hydration and subtle volume to the area around the pores, making them much less noticeable.
Why is it a good idea to get them together?
When Juvelook is administered using the Potenza Pumping Tip, the RF energy from the micro-needles stimulates the body’s natural collagen production,
improving elasticity and reducing pore size. At the same time, as the skin heals the micro-injuries created by the needles, Juvelook works synergistically to form fresh elastin and collagen.
Combined with the deep hydration provided by Juvelook’s hyaluronic acid, a powerful synergistic effect is inevitable.
This combination is the most effective treatment for enlarged vertical pores.
However, pore care requires consistency. While a single session can show improvement,
for cases with severely noticeable pores, we recommend a minimum of three sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart to ensure optimal, long-lasting results.
Which clinic should you choose?
It goes without saying, but you should visit a clinic that strictly adheres to using genuine products and never reuses tips.
Reusing single-use Pumping Tips carries severe risks, such as infection.
Thorough disinfection before the procedure is also essential. I highly recommend choosing a clinic that follows precise safety protocols,
houses experienced staff, and communicates effectively.
Finally, it is impossible to eliminate enlarged pores with cosmetics alone.
While thorough cleansing, sebum control, and sun protection can help prevent pores from expanding further,
skincare products cannot erase pores that are already structurally visible.
Lately, there has been a sharp increase in patients suffering from dermatitis, psoriasis, and erythema after overusing scientifically unproven products or undergoing microneedle treatments at uncertified facilities.
When addressing skin concerns,
I sincerely hope you will consult with a medical professional rather than being swayed by exaggerated marketing claims, allowing you to make a wise and safe choice for your skin.
