Non-invasive Tip

The non-invasive tips are are designed to make contact with the skin without the use of needles and can also be used for lifting treatments.

Diamond Tip

The Diamond Tip is considered the flagship among Potenza’s non-invasive tips.

Its biggest advantage is that it simultaneously delivers both monopolar and bipolar RF energy.

In general:

• Monopolar → INMODE, Potenza DDR
• Bipolar → Thermage, Oligio

These are two different types of RF technology, and the Diamond Tip combines both in a single treatment.

It is one of the most popular tips in Gangnam, Seoul, for patients who want to achieve both lifting and skin tightening at the same time.

DDR Tip (Deep Dermal Heating)

You’ve probably heard of the DDR tip before, its full name is Deep Dermal Heating.

✔ Uses bipolar RF energy

✔ Works on a similar principle to INMODE FORMA

The main difference is that the DDR Tip has a larger contact area with the skin than INMODE FORMA.

The DDR Tip delivers excellent results on its own, but it can provide even greater synergy when combined with the Diamond Tip.

This is a treatment approach I frequently used when I was practicing at Dr. Petit Gangnam. 🙂

The principle is to first raise the skin temperature with the DDR Tip, then maximize the efficiency of energy delivery with the Diamond Tip.

By performing the treatment in this order, skin impedance can be reduced, current density can be altered, and thermal conductivity can be improved, allowing the Diamond Tip to work more effectively.

SFA Tip (Superficial Energy Delivery)

Finally, let’s take a look at the SFA Tip.

As the name suggests, unlike DDR (Deep Dermal Heating), the SFA Tip is designed to target the superficial layers of the skin.

✔ Uses bipolar RF energy
✔ Targets the most superficial layer among the three non-invasive tips
✔ Focuses on improving the skin’s surface

The SFA Tip features an MTS-like protruding surface design, which is why we often refer to it as the Hybrid Tip (HYBRID TIP).

The SFA Tip causes minimal discomfort, so the procedure can be performed without topical anesthesia.
You may experience mild redness for 2–3 days after treatment.

Depending on the treatment intensity, micro-crusting may also occur.

It is particularly suitable for patients traveling in Korea or those who want to minimize downtime.

Most importantly, the improvement in skin texture can often be noticed as early as the next day, making it one of the more popular treatments in Gangnam, Seoul.
