Seoul Lifting Consults: Start With Your Concern Area

If you are researching lifting clinics in Seoul from abroad, two questions matter more than which clinic is most talked about: can you be diagnosed and matched to a device based on your specific concern area, and can that consultation happen in your own language. At UHCELL Clinic Gangnam, we diagnose skin condition first and design treatment individually, and our front desk has staff who can support Japanese, Chinese, and English.

Hello, I am Dr. Kim Yeon-jin, Chief Physician at UHCELL Clinic Gangnam. When patients search for lifting treatment in Seoul, device names like Ultherapy and Thermage tend to come up first. The problem is that a device name alone does not tell you which area of your face it should target or what change to expect. Here is how I recommend starting the conversation instead, along with what to prepare before you book if you are coming from outside Korea.

Describe the concern area, not the device

Rather than opening with “I want Ultherapy,” try describing what you see: sagging along the jawline and neck, fine lines around the eyes, or hollowing in the cheeks. That framing lets us check your skin condition first, then explain which device addresses that specific concern and why.

Questions worth asking at consultation

  1. Why is this device being recommended for my specific concern area?
  2. Does the manufacturer’s intended treatment area actually match my concern?
  3. Will one device be enough, or does my case call for a combination?
  4. Can treatment and recovery both fit inside my stay in Seoul?

The same device can call for a different plan depending on skin condition, so a consultation that explains the diagnosis and the reasoning behind a choice is more useful to you than one that promises a specific result in advance.

How we plan lifting treatment at our Gangnam clinic

We do not lead with a fixed package. We diagnose skin condition first and design treatment for each patient individually. For lifting and anti-aging, we offer Ultherapy PRIME, Thermage FLX, Sofwave, OligioX, Potenza, and HIFU, so a consultation built around your concern area can compare more than one of these options against each other.

I completed my graduate studies at Seoul National University and trained at Seoul National University Hospital. I serve as Allergan faculty for Juvederm and Botox and as a Key Doctor for Potenza and Ultherapy Z, and I am an instructor with the Korean Society of Clinical Cosmetic Medicine and a member of the Korean Society for Aesthetic Plastic and Laser Medicine.

If you are coming from abroad: language and your travel window

For patients visiting from outside Korea, the language of the consultation matters as much as the device choice, because an accurate description of the area and the change you want is what makes the device recommendation accurate in the first place. Our Gangnam location has staff who can support Japanese, Chinese, and English.

Our Gangnam clinic operates as an on-site facility inside UH FLAT SIGNATURE Gangnam, a hotel in the UHC group, and treatment takes place in a private room. Guests staying at UHC hotels may choose one complimentary recovery option: a 30-minute oxygen chamber session or a vitamin IV drip. If you use both, the IV drip is priced at 55,000 KRW. We have described this treatment-to-recovery route from the hotel room to the treatment room in more detail in a separate article on how Gangnam lifting and anti-aging treatment connects to recovery.

What to have ready before you book

Preparing the following in advance makes the device comparison at consultation more specific to your case.

  1. The area that concerns you most and the change you want (for example, jawline sagging, fine lines around the eyes, loss of volume along the neck)
  2. Your travel dates in Seoul, including departure
  3. The name and approximate timing of any previous lifting or injectable treatment
  4. A current medication list (a photo of your prescription or medication packaging is enough)
  5. Your preferred consultation language (Japanese, Chinese, English, or Korean)

FAQ

Should I choose Ultherapy or Thermage?

It is hard to decide that before a diagnosis. Tell us your concern area and the change you want first, and after we check your skin condition we will decide together whether one device is enough or whether a combination makes more sense.

Can I get the consultation in my own language?

Our Gangnam location has staff who can support Japanese, Chinese, and English. Let us know your preferred language when you book.

If I stay at the hotel, is recovery care free?

Guests staying at UHC hotels may choose one complimentary option, either a 30-minute oxygen chamber session or a vitamin IV drip. If you use both, the IV drip is priced at 55,000 KRW. You can check the full terms on our promotion page.
