Today, I’d like to talk about Sculptra<\/strong>, one of the most frequently requested treatments at our Gangnam clinic, and how it can help restore facial volume while maintaining a natural-looking appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As summer approaches, many people become more focused on weight loss. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One concern I hear frequently is, “I want to lose weight, but I don’t want to lose the volume in my face\u2014especially my cheeks.”<\/em> Many patients are looking for a slimmer body while maintaining a naturally youthful, full facial appearance, making this an increasingly common concern in aesthetic practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, full, well-defined cheeks<\/strong> are often considered an important feature of a youthful appearance.
However, it’s not realistically possible to lose fat from only specific areas of the body<\/strong>. Because the cheeks also contain fat, facial volume often decreases along with overall weight loss. Rapid weight loss can also contribute to reduced skin elasticity<\/strong>, making the face appear more hollow or tired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For patients with these concerns, Sculptra<\/strong> can be an excellent treatment option. Recently, it has also been consistently recognized in the field of Korean aesthetic medicine<\/strong> as a treatment for achieving natural-looking facial volume restoration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, what exactly is Sculptra?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When Can You Expect to See Results?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You may notice an immediate increase in volume<\/strong> right after the procedure, but this is only a temporary effect caused by the diluting solution<\/strong>. After about one week<\/strong>, this initial volume gradually subsides, and collagen production begins around 2\u20133 weeks<\/strong> after treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of you may have heard about nodules<\/strong> in relation to Sculptra. However, recent studies have reported that the incidence is less than 0.5%<\/strong>, making it relatively uncommon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That said, it is important to follow the “5-5-5 rule.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For approximately 5 days after the procedure<\/strong>, massage the treated area 5 times a day for 5 minutes each time<\/strong>. This helps ensure more stable post-treatment care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a standard aftercare instruction provided by clinics in Seoul as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
